The company designs and manufactures relay cubicles and boards which are in accordance with specific characteristics for mounting of the different types of apparatus by the different producers.
„EL - TEST” company is developed technical documentation for cubicles constructions and is producing:
Free standing relay panels
These relay panels are used mainly for plants which are in work and it is necessary the old apparatus to be replaced for a partial rehabilitation. The panels are designed for erection in the relay halls, in a row with the existing panels. Steel sheets (two millimeters thickness) are used for production of the panels. Various types are available: with or without doors, side panels or ceiling. The apparatus can be mounted on a prepared surface (front panel) or on a plane in the panel for the panels "grate" type.
The terminals can be arranged vertically on the side surface or horizontally under the apparatus (behind the small doors).
Relay cubicles
The relay cubicles are steel constructions. The apparatus in them are protected against dust and not-permitted access. They have side panels, ceiling and floor plates adjusted for cable incoming and plugging up the openings after finishing of the cable connections. Different types of relay cubicles are designed:
- with front and rear solid doors;
- with front door with transparent unbreakable glass and rear solid door;
- with front door (solid or with transparent unbreakable glass) and two rear solid doors;
All cubicle doors can be opened at 150 degrees and can be fixed in open position.

Most of the relay cubicles are with the flowing dimensions: 2200mm high, 800mm width and 600mm depth. Any other dimensions are available, as example 250mm, 900mm, 1000mm, 1500mm width, 2000, 1800mm high (according to the customer needs).
All devices can be arranged by two different methods:
- on an immovable mounting plate;
- on a swing apparatus frame (calculated for supporting the load of the apparatus and the wires). A fixing of the apparatus frame in open position is provided;
The terminals can be arranged on DIN rails on side panels or on the back panel in cases of cubicles without rear doors.
Mounting plates are designed for erection of:
§ А Miniature circuit breakers or fuses;
§ Control switches;
§ Auxiliary relays;
If it is necessary specific elements for erection and fixture can be designed.
When the width of the relay cubicle is 900mm, between the apparatus frame and the side panel there is a free space (because the apparatus frame is designed for erection of standard 19-inches devices and has a standard width). In this case the free space is covered with swing mounting plate (hanged up on hinges) on which can be arranged switches, MCBs, signal lamps, buttons and other devices.
The internal connections are executed by flexible multi core wires with 2,5mm2 cross section for current circuits and 1,5mm2 cross section for other circuits. The colours of the wires are according to the wiring tables included in the design. For connection to the terminals a suitable wire ends are used. The internal wires are put in cable channels dimensioned to hold free the incoming control cable cores. The wires are bandaged up with plastic tape. The wires between the terminals and the swing frame are put in flexible plastic tubes.

The bottom part of the cubicles is designed in such way that makes easier the entering of the control cables in the cubicle. Cables can be arranged and fixed twice on the special rails. A possibility for connection of the cable screens and shields to the plant earthing installation.
After connection of the cables the opening on the floor can be chocked up with fire proof material if it is necessary.
The company may supply all devices and terminals for the relay cubicles or they can be supplied by the customer and can be placed to the company for erection.
There are provided a luminescent lamp and single phase socket in the relay cubicles. According to the customer recommendations heaters, thermostats, fun blocks and other devices can be integrated in the relay cubicles.
All surfaces of cubicle metal structure are treated against corrosion and painted according to two methods:
- 2 layers of 2 composite ground coat and 2 composite paint;
- heat-polarized powder paint;
Different colors according to the RAL system are available.
